Is Sausages safe in pregnancy?
Generally safe
Yes — provided they are cooked through.
What the evidence says
Sausages are safe when cooked thoroughly with no pink meat visible. This applies to pork, beef, chicken and vegetarian sausages. Avoid undercooked or "pink" sausages.
Why this matters
Undercooked pork or beef sausages can carry Toxoplasma, Salmonella, and other bacteria. Cooking eliminates these risks.
