Is Hot dogs safe in pregnancy?

Generally safe

Yes — when heated thoroughly until steaming hot.

What the evidence says

Hot dogs and frankfurters are safe in pregnancy when heated until steaming hot right through. Do not eat them lukewarm or cold straight from the packet — even though they are pre-cooked, they can carry Listeria that proliferates at fridge temperatures.

Why this matters

Pre-cooked processed meats can become contaminated with Listeria after production. Heating until steaming destroys it.
