Is Ginger (tea, fresh, capsules) safe in pregnancy?
Generally safe
Yes — often recommended for morning sickness.
What the evidence says
Ginger is safe in pregnancy and is one of the most commonly recommended natural options for managing morning sickness. Fresh ginger, ginger tea, and ginger capsules (up to 1 g per day) are all supported by a reasonable evidence base. Avoid very high doses or concentrated ginger extracts.
Why this matters
Multiple clinical trials have shown ginger reduces nausea in early pregnancy with no increase in adverse outcomes.
